CURRENT APPLICATIONS
-

Injection Molding
(Closures and Jars)
We began with a breakthrough: a custom 38 mm closure for PET bottles that is fully commercialized and certified to meet the highest global standards for compostability and biodegradability. Designed for seamless integration with standard beverage packaging, it delivers better performance than HDPE for what brands demand while meeting their sustainability goals.
But closures are just the beginning. Our biopolymer solution can be adapted to virtually any injection-molded part, making it easy to scale sustainable innovation across rigid packaging formats
-

Extrusion Blow Molding
(Bottle and Rigid Containers)
Bottles are everywhere—from water bottles to shampoos to detergents to lotions—and many are made through extrusion blow molding (EMB). As regulations tighten and consumer expectations shift, the industry is under pressure to evolve beyond traditional plastics for rigid packaging.
At Beyond Plastic™, we’re answering that call with PHA-based EBM bottles designed for true end-of-life responsibility. Engineered for extrusion blow molding, our resins deliver on all specifications, from durability, barrier properties, and sensory requirements for every application—without the environmental cost of traditional plastics.
These aren't just plastic alternatives—they're a step toward eliminating persistent waste from the rigid packaging supply chain. Scalable, biodegradable, compostable, and ready to take on the industry.
-

Compression Molding
(Closures)
At Beyond Plastic™, we’re harnessing compression molding to drive sustainable innovation in parts where precision and efficiency are critical. From caps and closures to custom components, our materials are engineered to match or surpass the performance of traditional plastics like HDPE—while maintaining the speed and cost-effectiveness of compression molding.
Compared to injection molding, compression molding offers faster cycle times, reduced material waste, and lower tooling costs, making it ideal for scaling the high-volume production of compostable components. Our materials are already proven in commercial applications and certified to meet global standards for compostability and biodegradability.
Compression molding isn’t just a process—it’s a powerful platform for producing sustainable packaging at scale.

Biodegradable Cosmetics Packaging
(Beauty Jars and Cosmetic Tubes)
Cosmetic packaging is often designed for beauty—but rarely for sustainability. In fact, cosmetic packaging is some of the least recycled of all. There are very few End-of-Life solutions for packages containing multiple materials with vibrant colors that often require multi-layered systems to protect the sensitive formulations inside the package.
At Beyond Plastic™, we’re reimagining cosmetic packaging from the ground up. Our fully biodegradable/compostable solutions—ranging from extrusion-molded flexible tubes to extrusion blow molded rigid containers—deliver on performance without the lasting impact. Designed for seamless integration into existing manufacturing lines, our materials meet the growing demand for bio-based solutions while meeting mechanical and barrier performance requirements.
Whether it’s a soft touch tube or a durable bottle, we’re creating cosmetic packaging that looks beautiful, performs beautifully, and disappears responsibly.
-

Reinventing 3D Printer Filament
We developed a premium FDM filament engineered for precision, reliability, ease of use, and strength—without the environmental cost. While the market is dominated by PLA, a bio-based plastic, it still leaves a lasting footprint and doesn’t break down outside of industrial composting conditions.
Our filament is made from 100% biodegradable PHA, which breaks down naturally in home composting environments—allowing users to dispose of failed prints in a sustainable way. No greenwashing, no gimmicks—just a fully commercialized, genuinely compostable filament. Even the packaging reflects our values, with a recyclable spool made from recycled paperboard. Every element is designed with intention: to perform flawlessly and return to the earth, responsibly.

Extrusion Molding
(Drinking Straws and Cosmetic Tubes)
Extrusion molding touches nearly every corner of daily life—from drinking straws to plumbing pipes to cosmetic tubes. But while these products are everywhere, traditional plastics like polyolefins don’t just disappear. Lightweight and buoyant, they can float in our oceans for decades, slowly breaking down into harmful microplastics that persist for thousands of years.
With growing global bans on single-use plastics, the demand for compostable alternatives has never been more urgent. Our straws are engineered to meet the world’s highest standards for sustainability, including TUV certifications for industrial, home, and seedling composting, as well as ASTM D6691 for marine biodegradability.
Now, we’re bringing that our EM expertise to the cosmetics industry—developing the world’s first multilayer biopolymer cosmetic tube. Fully compostable, fully biodegradable, and designed for performance, it’s the future of flexible cosmetic packaging.
